It is with sadness that I am writing of my decision to close The Alchemy Studio Salon effective immediately. As with many small businesses during this economic down turn, we have been impacted significantly. I am proud to have given owning my own business a chance.
I am excited to announce my transition to Nelson’s Salon and Spa in West Hartford Center. Nelson and his staff have been very welcoming. In making the decision to close The Alchemy Studio, I took a great amount of care and time to find another salon where my clients would feel comfortable and enjoy the atmosphere. Nelson’s is that salon. On street parking is easily available and the lively energy of West Hartford Center is a welcome change. Other than a new location, there will be no significant changes. Nelson’s salon has begun carrying the Goldwell Color and products lines and the price structure is in keeping with The Alchemy Studio Salon’s prices.
Meghan Miller has decided to use this opportunity to leave salon life and return to college. She would have been more than welcomed at Nelson’s, but I understand and support her decision. For clients who booked regularly with Meghan, I would be delighted to accommodate you in my schedule.
Nelson’s Salon and Spa will be booking my appointments. Carol, the receptionist, is happy to address any concerns you might have. If you already have a scheduled appointment, it has been transferred into my schedule at Nelson’s. Please call to confirm your next appointment. The salon number is 860-570-1400. The address is 37 LaSalle Road, West Hartford. LaSalle is a left turn off Farmington Avenue just past Main Street.
